CITADEL APPOINTS HEAD OF U.S. FIXED INCOME BUSINESS

Derek Kaufman to join Citadel from JPMorgan Chase & Co.

April 23, 2008, Chicago – Citadel Investment Group, L.L.C. today announced that

Derek Kaufman will join the firm as a Senior Managing Director and Head of the U.S. Fixed Income Business. Mr. Kaufman will join from JPMorgan Chase, where he served as Global Head of Fixed Income in the investment bank’s Proprietary Positioning Group.

Mr. Kaufman joined JP Morgan in 1996 and was one of the earliest members of that firm’s Proprietary Positioning Group. Mr. Kaufman graduated from Harvard College. He will be based in New York.
